Halifax Transit
Halifax Transit will introduce the following service changes starting Monday, May 18, 2026:
(Friday, May 15, 2026) The Vincent Coleman ferry will return to service at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19. The Alderney ferry will then operate on its usual schedule of every 15 minutes on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. The Vincent Coleman has been out of service since January due to a steering system issue that required specialized replacement parts and it returns to service following successful testing and sea trials.
→ More details on halifax.caRoutes 2, 3, 4, 135, 136 and 138 will be on detour daily starting Tuesday, May 26 until Tuesday, June 2 due to construction.
Routes 1, 8, 192, 194, 196, 330 will be have their routing updated starting Monday, May 18 due to Phase 2 construction of the Bayers Road Transit Priority Corridor project. Buses will be routed as follows:
📍 Tower Rd CN bridge between Southwood Dr and Pine Hill Dr
Route 29 will be on detour starting Wednesday, Feb. 4, due to scheduled construction on the CN Bridge on Tower Rd.
